spring is in the air

On the 21 I had another bellydance performance. This time in Leest! It was fun and the local girls had nicely decorated. Even their husbands were dressed accordingly. Yesterday I drove to Holland for the shop and enjoyed a beautiful cloudy sky, lots of sun and clear weather. Daylight savings time started here so in the evening I spent a few hours in my garden.

Rainbow Quilt

Last Summer one of our long time customer's daughter, Annick, had a small fall or slip in the pool and is paralized from the arms down. She has now limited use of her hands. The teacher designed a quilt and then devided it up into rectangles to be sewn by different people.
Annick's friends organized a big money collecting weekend. Two full days, a party, walking tours, raffles and lots of food. We raffled the quilt and got 537 euro. I did hardly anything else this weekend but promoting this event. Met new friends and Annick, who is very courages and taking it all in stride.
